I am very happy and excited with the start of this new term. I have plunged into the works of aerodynamics and began to understand more of the hard fundamental math and physics that revolve around aerodynamics. I have also invested my time into a guided inquiry block called GI politics. It's been teaching me a lot more about political view points and possible systems of life that seem to all vary in the views of human nature. All very interesting and I'm off to a good start. I have also been keeping up in my external classes and been trying to exceed the expectations. As of right now the work on possibly building a 24 hours of lemons vehicle has come to a halt due to money and time issues which I hope soon both will become much better. Overall a great start. I am also editing my website so hopefully by the end of next week it will be much more up to date.
Overall the Inquiry block I think was something that succeeded but could've been far better. I came to an answer to my question but the question itself was fairly simple to conclude once I had completed my research and done my presentation. Based upon previous life events I can say that I had honestly gone into a depressed state. However by the time I had pulled out of it the work was already due about a week away. At least by the time I had gotten out of my swing of dark mindedness I had filled that week with work. I became very busy very quickly with a lot of work to do in a short amount of time. I did at least get that done and that is most likely the reason I was able to demonstrate how I wanted to demonstrate my work. I luckily did do an effective amount of research and at the end of the day I'm happy about at east the final stride I had made to get it done. But with the work done before hand I feel disappointed in myself.
This week has most certainly been the most hectic week of the year for me. Mishap after mishap, I had tried to succeed with extensive amount of work for this week making sure that every hour hasn't just gone wasted. It came down to the last minute and despite my expectations overall the final product of the inquiry block wasn't too bad after all. I'm very thankful for my teachers, they were very understanding and gave me probably more chances than I should have received but at the end it was worth it. I was also able to assist my friend Ben in his project with the story Enter Infinity. A Sci Fi alternate history that investigates the past and far into the future. Very happy to end off this week strong and doing well. I was told that I had done great with my presentation despite the shoddy quality. Overall, this week has been a challenge with great success. I plan to make sure that this next term is much better accounted for where I take a lot more time actually getting solid work done rather than running in circles with information that questionably helped me. The new plan that I have for next term is starting on a new foot. I know how to design aircraft, now it's a matter of learning what the hard science and mathematics that go into engineering. Starting with a very crude car, a few friends of mine are going to work on turning it into a 24 hours of LeMons car. Which we take a $500 car, give it safety equipment, and race it for 24 hours. A challenge that I'm willing to start with to learn some of the mechanical side of engineering.
This is going to be a bit tight but I think I'm going to be able to get it done. I've had a few mishaps with some of the scheduling last week. Namely do to the Art Field trip which was fantastic! I was so happy to finally go to the Denver art museum. The immersion of the rooms where incredible it even smelled like the pieces on the wall were simply windows into the outdoors. Truly incredible. I'm very happy with the so you want to be a writer bolt because it's caused me to actually give myself time to write and get some of my thoughts down on paper. As for the Rock and roll poetry, though I've had a mishap I enjoy the interpretation of music that I knew had truth, story, and protest in the lyrics but now that I'm actually getting to find out the definition of the songs it makes it just ten times cooler to work with.
